Each month members bid. The member who takes the pot at the largest discount wins it.
The remaining discount is shared among members as a dividend, which lowers what they pay.
A ₹1,00,000 chit over 20 months has an instalment of ₹5,000. After dividends, the lowest payment is ₹4,000.
